This Bridge Course is planned for History, Sociology, Economics, Political Science, and Legal English to the students of BALLB First Semester before the commencement of the classes. Because, it is found that the syllabus of each subject at graduation level is wider than that of Senior Secondary level. On the other hand, the students who did not study aforementioned subjects at senior secondary schools face many challenges while studying them. So, it becomes a necessity to conduct a Bridge Course before commencement of classes so that the students can overcome the future challenges.
Thus, this Bridge Course is an attempt to bridge the gap between subjects studied at senior secondary level and subjects they would be studying in BALLB.
UNDERSTANDING GENDER, INEQUALITY, INTERSECTIONALITY AND SOCIAL ACTION: FEMINIST PERSPECTIVE
The course will be highly beneficial to participants and will enable them to gain a comprehensive understanding of gender disparities and inequalities in society. It will help the participants to develop an understanding about the relationship between gender, law, and society and evaluate the impact of laws upon gender equality. They will also develop a basic understanding of how feminist philosophy can be applied to the law and will enable students to think critically on gendered experiences across the spectrum of daily life and understand power relations through a gender lens.
