ABOUT MAIMS CULTURAL SOCIETY
The inculcation of moral and aesthetic values with the amalgamation of talent and indigenous culture are a huge challenge of any community. The cultural society of MAIMS believes in the preservation of this immaculate heritage. MAIMS Cultural Society aims to encourage students’ interest, participation and responsibility by providing social, cultural and recreational activities for the College Community. Keeping this in mind MAIMS Cultural Society has different clubs which give students an opportunity to demonstrate and develop their talent in wide variety of fields giving boost to their physical and mental health.
Since its inception in September 2009, the Cultural Society has organized and encouraged students to participate in various cultural competitions held indifferent educational institutions across Delhi. The self – motivated and ceaseless activities of over three dozen clubs and societies constitute a very important part of college life and offer a large variety of avenues of self – expression. For each subject there is a Society that sponsors extra – curricular lectures and discussions and, in general, tries to stimulate interest in the subject. There are many other academic and cultural society and clubs covering wide range of activities, such as dancing, debating, dramatics, film and music appreciation, social service, photography and many more. Some of the important clubs under the ambit of MAIMS Cultural Society are Samagra, Swaraag, Srijana, What A Click, Manthan, Illuminate, India’s First Club, Commpact Society, Think Quest Society, Brand Wagon Club, Spectrum, etc. to name a few.

MAIMS CULTURAL SOCIETY RULES
To ensure an active representation of all the clubs under the aegis of MAIMS Cultural Society, certain rules of functioning are hereby framed to be followed by all the clubs.
- Each club will organize at least 2 activities per semester.
- The Club will be required to plan the activities under intimation to all the members and will also be responsible for coordination with Course Authorities and Administration for the facilitation of the smooth functioning of the Club.
- The Club members shall meet to discuss the details of the planned activity. All members of the club are expected to attend these meetings. The members are required to actively co-operate and enthusiastically participate in all the activities and endeavours of the club with individual onus and responsibility.
- A complete set of documents (including – initial proposal, official notice/circular copy, registration list, participants’ feedback and its analysis, report – 1000 words, Geo-tagged photographs/screenshots of attendees, a brief post-event report – 100/150 words) as per the guidelines shared by NAAC committee, have to be furnished within 5 days of the completion of the activity/event of the Club (cc to President of the Society, IQAC).
- The Notice prepared with proper MAIMS Cultural Society’s header will be distributed among all the faculty groups and students’ groups.
- A brief invite and post-event report (100/150 words) to be submitted to the website team (cc to President of the Society, IQAC)
- Proper filing of documentation must be maintained by a Club for each activity conducted by them.
- Previous year activities records should be provided at the earliest by every Club (cc to President of the Society, IQAC)
- It is the responsibility of every Club to maintain, promote and update their event’s detail on social media.
- All monetary transactions need to be conducted under the name of the registered, MAIMS Cultural Society.
- Each Club would be responsible to maintain accounts for incurring various expenditures of the Club and in making payments thereof or honorariums to the guests.
- Every club must submit a detailed report of their annual activities (cc to President of the Society, IQAC).
- These bylaws can be amended if two-thirds of the members of the Club give their assent for the same.
