MAIMS is committed to ameliorate the struggles against gender inequality and to foster an environment in which men and women can work in harmony and with dignity. For the purpose of establishing a legally recognised club to address gender issues, the Gender Sensitization and Equality Initiative Club w.e.f May 4, 2020 is formed. The mission of the club is to raise awareness of gender issues and to promote and foster an environment conducive to gender justice.
The Main objective of Gender Sensitization and Equality initiative club are:
- To encourage the young boys and girls to be gender sensitive and create positive values that supports the girls and their rights.
- To offer overall guidance to the peer group in integrating/mainstreaming gender in all activities of the Institution in the form of focused group discussions, debates,
poster making competitions etc. - To create an integrated and interdisciplinary approach to understand the social and cultural constructions of gender that shapes the experiences of women and men in society.
- To create the awareness in regard to equality in law, social system and democratic activities.
- To increase the outreach for creating an environment that fosters equal treatment
